In the heart of the Gennargentu park, in the most green and authentic Sardinia, the most inaccessible and wild treasures of Villanova Strisaili stand out: two naturalistic jewels that penetrate into the terrestrial bowels, in the gorges of Pirincanes and in the Rio e Forru waterfalls.

The mighty pink granite rock has been excavated over thousands of years by the waters of the stream, which descends from the mountain slopes and crosses a valley deeply marked over time.

The Pirincanes gorge is located about 700 meters above sea level, on the slopes of the Bruncu Cuxinadorgiu and forms pools of crystalline water, called "Piscine dei Giganti".

They are surrounded by waterfalls, which expand and spread around a natural din.

They perform jumps in succession, the highest of 15 meters.

Here live native species, almost extinct in the other Sardinian streams, the Sardinian trout and the Sardinian newt (or euprotto), characterized by a green and brownish mimetic mantle.

The eastern slope of the Gennargentu massif, in the territory of Villagrande, offers unusual landscapes, for example the village of Villanova, lying along the banks of Lake Flumendosa, between mountains that form a fairytale scenario.

Scenarios that can be visited through itineraries with exciting views: vertiginous rock walls, woods, Mediterranean scrub, juniper and broom, rare animals such as mouflons and golden eagles, roaring with water that does not stop in front of any obstacle.

We will arrive immediately at the falls, a short sequence but full of breathtaking passages will lead us further into the bed of the Rio Calaresu and in 45 minutes to the cars.

Terms of cancelation:

No fees in case of cancellation arrived between more than 48 hours before the date of the excursion

In the event of cancellation arriving between 48 hours before the date of the excursion or in case of no show, the totality of the excursion will be invoiced.
