Walking on the tiny street of the historic center we can grasp the nuances of colorful district of Sa Costa, with its vertical houses and his steps "S'Iscala et Sa Rosa".

THE SECRETS OF CAGLIARI

Cagliari is the emblem of the evolution, of change, of richness and of life, surrounded by water.

It is situated in south Sardinia, in the middle of the Angels Gulf and between the Molentargius and Santa Gilla lagoons.

Cagliari has four historical districts: Stampace, the artistic district; Marina, the commercial district; Villanova, the farmers district and Castello, the noble district, where in old times lived the people of power.

We will visit Castello district that dominates the city from high. Walking through the streets of Castello you can sense the history of the most authentic Cagliari, between the present and the past; the ancient palaces and hidden churches where the narrow streets have changed little since medieval times. You should not miss the magnificent Cathedral, the Royal Palace, the panoramic terraces of the ramparts of Saint-Rémy and Santa Croce, which in the summer nights are also the nightlife centre.

BARBAGIA BETWEEN HISTORY AND CULTURE: ORGOSOLO, MAMOIADA AND FONNI

The tour starts from the town of Orgosolo where we will walk through the streets of the historic centre to admire the beautiful Murales, the famous wall paintings realized in the late 60s by Orgosolo's people, to express their disappointment against the impositions of the Italian State.

We will go to visit a private home where you can admire the workmanship of the silkworm. A family of Orgosolo has managed to keep alive this little silkworm by which is still able to produce a large quantity of silk used to accomplish, only and exclusively with the use of hand-loom, the beautiful headdress of the female costume. This silkworm has been a source of study of several universities as it is the only one in the world that produces a yellow silk. It was actually defined the breed of Orgosolo.

After this tour and after admired the Murales, we will continue by jeep until Mamoiada village where we will stop visit the very interesting Museum of Masks. Here very prepared guys will illustrate the history of the mask of the Mamuthones that he made his first appearance in the pagan period as a "tool" used in the propitiatory dances and then becomes, however, without ever losing its origins, one of the most beautiful masks and fascinating of Sardinian's carnival.

Then will continue in Fonni direction and stop to a cosy “agriturismo” (rural restaurant) to taste local products skilfully prepared by hand according to traditional recipes.

In the afternoon we visit the tombs of the giants of Madau and the Gremanu Temple, these are two of the many sites in the area of a good valuable workmanship and special. Madau and Gremanu are what little remains of a huge Nuraghic town built thousands of years ago at the foot of Gennargentu and not far from the Supramonte.

SAN PIETRO ISLAND : CARLOFORTE AND ITS TERROTORY

The San Pietro island is located in the southwest of Sardinia. Carloforte, the only city of the island, is a picturesque fishing town founded in the XVIII century by Tabarchini a population from Tunisia. The San Pietro island is a place of great importance under the point of view naturalistic and geological. In fact in the northwestern part of the island there is a natural reserve where, from May to October, you can observe the hawk " Eleonora "(a protected species), having fun between the high cliffs.

During the tour we will visit the most important and popular areas of the island , such as the salines, the cliffs of Bobba beach, the Gulf of Mezzaluna where you can enjoy a view over the whole south coast of Sardinia. We will observe the oasis of Cala Fico , habitat of many species of birds.

During the tour we will visit the " Tonnara " one of the last tuna fish in Italy where we work tuna in traditional way.

Upon request, we can visit the vineyards that produce wines of excellent quality and have the taste of the volcanic soil and the wind comes from the sea.
