The most famous and mysterious periods of Sardinia are the preneuragic and nuragic periods.
The people of that time have left incredible evidence of their civilization on the territory - tombs of giants, sacred wells, domus de jana, nuraghi and villages - unique in the
Mediterranean.
We propose a route to discover two of the most important archaeological sites of northern Sardinia:
• Necropolis of Anghelu Ruju: This is the second largest hypogeum necropolis in Sardinia, excavated from the 3rd millennium BC and used until Roman times. It has 37 tombs, some
carved with great refinement, with structures reminiscent of the houses of the living and many magic and religious symbols.
• Nuraghic village of Palmavera: located on the mountain of the same name in the Regional Park of Porto Conte, it is a wonderful example of nuragic village which developed from
1500 BC The site includes a nuraghe "tancato" circumscribed by a large wall and a village with about fifty huts.
Among the huts is the Encounters, with civil and religious functions.
