The forest of Seven Brothers is located at about 30 km from Cagliari. It is an oasis of permanent faunistic protection, characterized by natural rocks, streams, rich vegetation and kingdom of Sardinian deer.
Stories and legends make us better understand the troubled relationship of attraction and fear among the people of the plain east of Cagliari and the forest.
Today, we will walk the roads used in the past by bandits, hermits, the charbonniers, loggers and travelers.
The road leads us through paths that cross a beautiful forest to the jagged granite top, which, lonely, seems to be watching from afar the city of Cagliari and the south-east
coast.
The landscape is constantly evolving, characterized by granites that, in their many forms of erosion, give rise to forms in which everyone can free his imagination.
At the end of the hike, we will also be able to observe the deer fence, built at the end of the 70's following the Sardinian deer repopulation project.
