This beautiful hike takes us into the heart of the mountains of Supramonte de Urzulei in a place called "Sedda ar baccas" where we admire two Pinnetos, old
famous sheepfolds; built with a circular stone base and covered with juniper trees.
We will cross a wooden passage, built by the shepherds to reach a part of the mountain, otherwise inaccessible.
We arrive then on the bed of the river "Flumineddu" and we continue climbing until joining the "Nuraghe Gorropu" located in strategic position, dominating all the surroundings.
We are currently in the territory of Orgosolo and the view embraces a magnificent panorama that goes from the mountain range of Mount Corrasi to the Nuraghe Mereu, which rises from the summit of Mount "Silana" surrounded by a lush cork forest.
From there we start to descend to the area where the two gorges, Flumineddu and Orbisi, join each other, hence the name in Sardinian: "Sa Giuntura".
We are now close to the famous Gorropu Canyon.
In the final part, we will still be able to admire caves and waterfalls.
